Is the price of the six core subjects $165 total or $165 each? Back to top

Our six core subjects are MS1, MS2, MS3, MS4, MS5, and MS6. These courses are covered in our Wealth Building Fundamentals workshop and include:

  • Building a budget
  • Balancing your chequebook and reconciling your bank statements
  • The different methods of earning an income
  • Developing the 10% savings discipline
  • How credit ratings are determined
  • Credit cards (secured and unsecured)

When taken together in a workshop and paid in advance, the cost is $165.00 total or $27.50 per subject. (If you pay on the day of the workshop, the cost is $180.00 or $30.00 per subject.)

If the subjects are taken separately in a semi-private format, the cost is $65.00 per subject.

Our other workshops are Wealth Creation and Management (MS7–MS12) and Debt Management (MS13–MS18). These workshops cost the same as the Wealth Building Fundamentals workshop.

Take courses to learn how to manage your money better.

Are there any discounts if I send my three young adults attending together? Back to top

Nothing is formally planned in the form of discounts. However, we will be rewarding repeat customers in some way. We typically account for about 1 to 4 percent of all sales to be given back to customers. This might be in the form of Money School Gift Certificates or a Money School Cheque with a savings or investment story attached to it.

What materials should I bring? Calculator? Paper? Brown-bag lunch? Back to top

A calculator would be helpful. A pen and notepaper will be supplied in the Money School binder each participant receives. We also provide a sandwich meal.

What if I am not between the ages of 16 and 34 years? Can I still attend a workshop? Back to top
Wealth creation can lead to peace of mind and a sense of security.

We do not check ID for ages, so the answer is, "yes." We have included our six core subjects in a workshop format so they appeal directly to the typical financial learning needs of young adults. We expect the majority of our Wealth Building Fundamentals students to be between the ages of 16 and 34.

As an additional note, all 18 courses (which are available in workshop, semi-private, and private formats) reach a wide spectrum of knowledge about investing, managing wealth, and managing debt burden. They enhance money related knowledge for students of any age.

Are the workshops held in Bankers Hall? If not, then where? Back to top

We present our workshops in the boardroom on the 10th floor of Bankers Hall West Tower. On occasion, we might use the Bankers Hall Auditorium (which seats up to 25 people). We provide comfortable chairs and a relaxed, business-oriented learning environment.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy if I cannot attend my session? Back to top

If you are unable to make it to a workshop, you can call and reschedule to another workshop or have your money fully refunded. (Refunds are issued by company cheque only and might take up to two weeks to be processed and received by you in the mail.)

If you did not call and did not show up for your scheduled workshop, we will convert your prepaid fees into a workshop credit, which is valid for 60 days. If you reschedule during that time, your fees will be applied to your rescheduled workshop at par value. If you do not reschedule within 60 days, you will forfeit your credit.

What kinds of math skills do I need for your classes? Back to top

You only need basic math skills. Our objective is to make the required math easy to comprehend and apply to your financial disciplines. Since few people are mathematically inclined, we counter complex math and money problems with simple solutions.

Is there a dress code for instructors and students? Back to top

We request business attire for both instructors and students.

Can I buy a Money School gift certificate? Back to top

Yes. We can customize your Money School gift presentation to suit your budget and the recipient's needs. This purchase option is available for our workshops, private packages, and semi-private packages.

Gift certificates are redeemable for one year from their purchase date. We can make them transferable, if you require that flexibility; otherwise, they are designated to a sole recipient. Gift certificates are only refundable to the purchaser.
